Design app and website screens, explain a lesson on an infinite whiteboard with a stylus, and make slides, diagrams and graphics. All in your browser, with editable files you own.
From the first wireframe to a design that feels right. Build screens with auto layout, reusable styles and the freedom to refine every element.

Layouts that fit
Auto layout with gaps, padding, fill and hug, plus constraints and nested frames. Resize a screen and everything stays in order.
A consistent design
Shared colour and text styles and themes. Switch every screen from light to dark in one click.
A head start on the details
Buttons, fields, tab bars, cards and 99 vector icons. Hold Alt to measure any distance.
Whiteboard · stylus and pen tablet
Write with a pen.
Like on paper.
Forma's whiteboard is made for a stylus. Apple Pencil on an iPad, a Surface Pen or S Pen, a Wacom tablet: the line feels every bit of pressure, and your hand can rest on the screen. No plug-ins and nothing to install, right in the browser.
A light touch writes thin, a firmer one writes wide. The line breathes like real ink.
Rest your palm
Once a pen touches the board, fingers only move and zoom it. A hand on the screen leaves no marks.
Flip it to erase
On a pen with an eraser end, turn the stylus over and erase, whatever tool is in hand.
A lasso on the pen button
Hold the pen's side button and circle what you wrote to move or change it.
Neat at any speed
Forma catches every point of the pen between screen frames and smooths the tremor of the hand, so lines stay clean.
A laser pointer for the lesson
Point at things as you explain: the red trail fades away and nothing is written on the board.
Whiteboard · smart pen
A board that understands
what you write.
Write a formula by hand and get a typeset one. Draw a wobbly circle and get a clean one. Recognition runs on your device: it works offline, reads Ukrainian handwriting, and your notes never leave the browser.
On your device

Ukrainian handwriting
1Handwriting becomes a formula
2A sketch becomes a shape
y = x² − 1?3Lines become axes, a curve gets its formula
Handwriting to text
Circle a line you wrote and insert it as editable text: Ukrainian handwriting, English and digits.
Formulas from a sketch
A formula written by hand becomes typeset TeX, ready to edit with the formula palette.
A smart pen
Hold the pen still at the end of a stroke and the line, circle or triangle comes out clean. A tick across a line makes a number line.
Graphs that plot themselves
Cross two lines for a coordinate plane. Type a function, or draw a curve and Forma offers its formula.
Tables, notes and paper
Tables that move with Tab and Enter like a spreadsheet, sticky notes that fit their text, paper in squares, dots or lines.
A frame for every part
Name each part of the lesson with a frame, then export the whole board, every frame or just one as images or a PDF.
Start from a ready lesson in mathematics, physics, chemistry or biology, or from a blank board. Write the formula by hand and let the board typeset it, plot the function beside it and circle the answer. Share the lesson as a PDF.
Laid out by hand: 48 websites and app screens, 60 presentations, 60 posters, posts, banners and brochures, and 166 lessons on boards for mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. The type, the photos and the colours already work together. Change the words and the pictures, and it is yours.
Anyone can look around. Using a template is part of Insider testing for now.
From idea to file.
Three steps, no detours.
There is no onboarding to sit through. This is the whole path, every time.

Describe your idea.
Edit what comes next.
Give your agent the Forma skill and describe a screen, a deck, a diagram or a graphic. It builds mockups with auto layout, shared styles and themes, lays diagrams out for you, validates the file and renders previews to check its own work. Open the .forma.json in Forma and refine every element. Here it designs an app.

Example workflow
Design SONO, a music app: one desktop screen and one phone screen, with auto layout, shared styles and a dark theme. Render both screens so we can review them.
Used the Forma skill
Built 2 screens with auto layout
Validated the file
Rendered both screens
Here is SONO: two editable screens built with auto layout and shared styles, in light and dark. The Forma skill validated the file and rendered both screens. Open the project to adjust any element.
The guide includes a minimum recommended model and installation prompt for each agent. Forma does not send your projects to the agent.

Your work.
Your files.
Really yours.
Every project is an actual .forma.json file. Keep it on your device, or save it in your own Google Drive.
Just you and a file.
Create without signing in. Download your project and open it again whenever you want.
Your own corner of Google Drive.
Forma works in its own folder. It cannot browse the rest of your Drive. You can see, download and manage your project files yourself.
Start the way you like.
In the browser or as an app.
Forma opens right in the browser, with nothing to install. Or take it as an app of its own, with its own window and icon: it checks for a new version at every start, and your projects stay in your Google Drive.
In the browser Nothing to install
Open Forma in a tab and start right away, on a computer, a tablet or a phone. Everything the apps can do is here too.
The apps are not signed yet, so Windows and macOS may ask you to confirm the first launch. The download page in Forma shows how.

A few things you might be wondering.
Simple tools. Clear answers.
No. Drawings, diagrams and presentations work without signing in, and every demo on this page opens freely. Sign in with Google to keep a project library in your Drive. During the beta, creating mockups and whiteboards is part of Insider testing; the access cards above show the current limits of every mode.
No. Forma requests the limited drive.file permission and works with the files it creates in the Forma folder. It does not request access to browse your entire Drive.
Download your .forma.json file or explicitly save it to Google Drive before closing. Forma does not automatically save your canvas. You can import the file later to continue editing.
For a lot of everyday work, yes: screens with auto layout, shared styles and themes, a pen with editable points, SVG import, colour correction and handwriting on a whiteboard. Forma keeps a focused set of tools, so some things of a full design suite are not here yet, such as reusable components and clickable prototypes.
Yes. Open, drop or paste an SVG and its shapes, paths, text, groups and gradients become separate editable layers. Clip paths, masks, filters and linked images are left out, and Forma tells you what was skipped. Export the result as SVG again whenever you like.
Open the skill installation page in Forma and choose your agent. Local agents install the verified skill from one prompt; Claude chat also takes a ZIP. The agent then creates editable mockups, presentations, diagrams and graphics, lays diagrams out automatically, validates the file and renders previews to check its own work. Choose a model with image input and tools. Open the resulting .forma.json in Forma to edit and export it.
Forma is currently free. Available features and page limits depend on whether you are visiting, signed in or an Insider. The access cards above show the current settings for every mode. Apply with the Become a tester button to join the testing programme.
App and website screens with nested frames, auto layout, constraints, shared colour and text styles, themes, column grids, ready-made UI elements and 99 vector icons; hold Alt to measure distances. An agent with the Forma skill can also generate an editable mockup. This mode creates visual designs; it does not publish a working website or app.
Yes. The board reads the pressure of any pen the browser recognises as a stylus: Apple Pencil on an iPad, Surface Pen, S Pen, Wacom and other pen tablets. Pressure sets the width of the line, the eraser end of a pen erases and its side button draws a lasso. Once a pen has touched the board, fingers only move and zoom it, so a resting palm leaves no marks; the pen settings let you turn this off.
No. The first time you ask the board to read something, Forma downloads its recognition models once, about 60 MB. From then on handwriting and formulas are read right in your browser, even offline, and nothing you write leaves your device.
Yes: 166 lessons on boards for mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, on topics of the Ukrainian school curriculum for grades 7–11. Each lesson is six boards for a 45-minute class: five explain the topic with concepts, diagrams, worked examples and common mistakes, and the sixth holds three self-contained exercises without solutions. Everything on the boards can be changed or written over by hand during the lesson. The lessons come in English and Ukrainian; like the other templates, using them is part of Insider testing for now.
